Things we take for granted but are included in our price!
Boat Marshalling. Our Boat Marshalling team will ensure the racing runs smoothly by liaising with the announcer to call up teams. With each team they will then run through the safety checks again before loading the teams into the boats so they are ready to race.
Chinese Dragon Boat Flags. These will add colour and bring atmosphere to the event (subject to their being a suitable citing point at your chosen venue).
Dragon Boat Regatta Equipment. Boats, paddles, boat dressings.
Event Promotion. We are happy to offer advice on the best ways to promote your event and how to maximise your recruitment of teams.
Fully Trained Event Staff. Only fully trained and experienced Dragons Alive staff will be employed at the event. Only qualified BDA helms will be used.
Local Authority Liaison. We will contact the local authorities on your behalf and obtain any necessary licences required for your event.
Medals. 15 Dragons Alive Gold Medals are included in every quote we do. We can also source trophies, certificates and further medals if required.
On Site Medic. Dragons Alive will provide an onsite medic (qualified to paramedic or ambulance technician standard) who will be based at Race Control throughout the day.
Paperwork. We know how boring and overwhelming paperwork can be, that’s why we will send you a sample ‘Dragon Boat Regatta Information Pack & Entry Form’ which you can amend and then distribute to all your team captains. Thus ensuring everyone has all the information they need.
Post event results service. Results from every race on the day, including final overall positions, will be uploaded onto our website and available for download by all participants after the event.
Presentation. At the end of racing our Announcer and Event Manager will be happy to lead the presentation and award medals to the winning team!
Professional Announcer with PA System. Our experienced and talented announcer will commentate on the racing; add a touch of humour to proceedings whilst also telling the story of how Dragon Boating began!
Race Control Point. This is clearly marked by a Dragons Alive Gazebo and manned by our Race Controller throughout the event. At race control, competitors and team captains can ask any questions as well as see the times from each race clearly displayed on the results board.
Risk Assessment. Dragons Alive will perform a full risk assessment of the venue and event to ensure all Health & Safety points are covered (copies available on request).
Safety. We will have a safety boat on the water at all times throughout the regatta, manned by qualified RYA Safety Boat Personnel. Buoyancy aids will be provided and are compulsory for all participants when on the water.
Team Registration. Dragons Alive Race Control will register all of the teams on the day, hand out race programmes, allocate team numbers and organise safety briefings.
Transport Charges. Every quote we do includes transport of all necessary equipment to your venue. There are NO hidden costs.
Venue Liaison. We will liaise with your chosen venue to ensure that everything is in place for your event.
£5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance. Copies of all insurance certificates are provided on request.
